Darlington Township Council met in the Township Hall, Hampton, on the
above date, with all Members present, Reeve Nichols presiding.
Moved by Councillors Trull and Smith that the minutes of previous meeting
be adopted as read.
Moved by Councillors Trull and Smith that Solina Community Hall be paid
$40.00 for the use of hall for 4 Council meetings.
Moved by Deputy Reeve Rickard and Councillor Smith that Clerk be authorized
to attend Ontario Municipal Assoc. Convention with expenses paid.
Moved by Deputy Reeve Rickard and Councillor Thompson that a grant of
$100.00 be made to Durham Central Agricultural Society.
Moved day Councillors Thompson and Smith that Rule 33 be suspended for
this meeting.
By-law for the raising of certain slams of moneys under the Tile
Drainage Act was given its first and second readings, and forwarded to the Municipal
Board for approval.
Moved by Councillors drull and Thompson that there be a 10 Min.
adjournment.
On motion of Councillors Trull and Thompson the General Accounts
to the amount of $3296.82 were passed and ordered paid.
On motion of Councillor Smith and Deputy Reeve Rickard the Road Accoun is
to the amount of $ 10311.72 were passe d and ordered paid.
On motion of Councillors Trull and Thompson the Clerk was authorized to
purchase copies of Public Schools Act, Separate Schools Act, and other Acts as may be
required.
Moved by Councillors Smith and Trull that Clerk write Orono Telephone Co.
asking what right or agreement they have to place poles on Darlington Roads.
Moved by Councillors Thompson and Smith that no action be taken on Sisson
application for wrecking Yard license.
