HomeMy WebLinkAbout1957-07-04 Hampton, July 4, 1957. Darlington Township Council met in the Township Hall on the above date with all Members present, Reeve Nichols presiding. Moved by Councillors Thompson and Trull that minutes of previous`:: :- meetings be approved as read. Moved by Councillors Trull and Smith that Road accounts in the amount of S' f �, �� be passed as presented. Moved by Deputy Reeve Rickard and Councillor Thompson that general accounts in the amount of $ 2850.80 be passed as presented. Councillor Smith and Road Supt. were appointed a committee to investigate Theisberger Dump and make recommendations. Moved by Councillors Smith and Thompson that license under By-law No. 2024 be granted to A. Alexander, Lot 27, Con. 3, provided he meets all conditions of the By-law. Moved by Deputy Reeve Rickard and Councillor Trull that Glen Pickell be paid $10.00 for shooting dog. Moved by Councillors Trull and Thompson that resignation of G. Annis, Live Stock Valuator be accepted and suitable letter sent thanking him for past services. Moved by Councillors Smith and Trull that N. Woodley be asked to act as Live Stock Valuator for the Township until such time as a Valuator can be appointed to replace Mr. Annis. Moved by Councillors Thompson and Smith that Garry Glaspell be app- roached re appointment of Live Stock Valuator for the south part of the Township. Moved by Councillors Smith and Trull that a letter be sent to County stat ggthat this Township feels that approach to 10th Con. west from Scugog Road was not built up when road was raised and County is liable. Moved by Councillors Trull and Smith that the Reeve, Deputy Reeve Rickard and Councillor Thompson be a Building Committee with authority to purchase materials for the new Township Building. . Moved by Councillors Smith and Trull, that Albert Hills be appointed time-keeper for the Township Building Committee at $1.15 per hour, to hold office for a term to be decided by the Building Committee. Moved by Councillors Trull and Smith that Council agree to install fence for H. Coutts and `xeo. Wright in payment for land taken over.
