Darlington Township Council met in the Township Hall on the above
daf�, all Members present, Reeve Nichols presiding.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and on motion of
Councillors Thompgon and Smith, were approved as read.
General accounts to the amount of 4 $6014.22 were presented and
on motion of Councillors Trull and Smith were ordered to be paid.
Moved by Councillors Trull and Smith that the Road vouchers to the
amount of $ 5 ?3. be paid.as presented.
Moved by Deputy Reeve Rickard and Councillor Thompson that
Councillor Smith contact District Forester re improving Township Forestry Lot.
Res. 1 Moved by Councillor Thompson and Deputy Reeve Rickard that
Council approve the application of Fred Wright for loan under the Tile Drainage Act
subject to the approval of the V.L.A.
Res. 2 Moved by Councillors Smith and Trull that the Clerk be authorized to forward
authority to Hydro Commission to neset poles on Solina Road, also at Lots 20-21
Concession 3, at an estimated cost of $510.00
Moved by Councillor Thompson and Deputy Reeve Rickard that Rule
33 be suspended for the duration of this meeting.
A By-law to impose special tax rate on the property of Ralph
Simpson under the provisions of the Tile Drainage Act was, on motion, given its
three readings and ordered signed, sealed and numbered 2079.
A By-law to regulate Slaughter Houses in the Township of Darlington
was, on motion, given its three readings and ordered signed, sealed and
numbered 2080.
Res. 3 Moved by Councillor Smith and Councillor Trull that the Reexe
and Treasurer be authorized to sign cheques in payment for materials for the new
Township Building.
es. Ii. Moved by Deputy- Reeve'Rickard and. Councillor. Thompson.,, that the
Council of the Township of Darlington petition the Dept. of Highways of Ontario for
1957 Interim Road Subsidy.
On motion Council adjourned to the call of the Chair.
