HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - 02-12-58 Hampton, February 12, 1958. I Darlington Township Council met in the Township Hall on the above date with all Members present, Reeve Nichols presiding. Moved by Councillor Thompson and Councillor Smith that the Salvation Army be granted x$100.00 Moved by Councillors Thompson and Smith that Rule 33 be suspended for this meeting. A By-law to appoint Live Stock Valuators for the Township was on BY-law 2092 motion given its several readings and ordered to be signed, sealed and numbered 2092. A By-law to appoint Fence Viewers for the Township was given its By-law 2088 several readings and on motion ordered signed, sealed and numbered 2088. (Fence Viewers Lloyd Courtice, Anson Phair, A. Muir Jr, Percy Werry, Ralph Glaspell, John Broome Mr. Hobbs and Mr. Coombes attended for Public School Board and were advised that Council feels that new school building is inadvisable at present. Clerk was instructed to write to Mrs. Cockrane re Varcoe Road N., Trans-Northern Pipe Line Co, re surfacing road to pumping station, Clarkk Township re work on Torn Line Road, and District Forester re pulpwood contract.
