Darlington Township Council continued its Session from April 3rd,
Reeve Nichols presiding, all Members present with the exception of Deputy Reeve Rickard
who was absent on Counties Council business.
R.J.Dilling, C.P.A. Township Auditor, presented the 1957 Audit and
reviewed same with Council.
Id.A.Yeo appeared to discuss with Council the establishing of a golf
coarse in Lots 11 & 12, Con. 3, Darlir_gton.
Moved by Councillors Thompson and Smith that tentative approval be
<J41 given to M.A.Yeo to establish a golf course in Lots 11 & 12, Con. 3, Darlington.
Moved by Councillors Thompson and Trull that F.G.Smith be appointed
S"Y .42 - this Township° s 1'epresentative to the Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority.
Moved by Councillors Smith and Thompson that Ontario dater -'iesourses
3 - be contacted as regards planning for water and other services.
Moved by Councillors Trull and Thompson that motion passed on April3, /58
regarding joint expenditure on Darlington Clarke Boundary Road, be and is hereby
rescinde&Land that this Council agree to a joint expenditure of 0000.00 on the
Darlington Clarke Boundary Road in 1958, $700.00 of which is to be spent South of the
Fifth Concession of Darlington Township, and the balance to be spent Porth of the
Fifth Concession , the latter to be spent as directed by the Road Superintendents
of the two Townships and =ar. F.G.Smith.
�-_ Moved by Councillors Thompson and Trull that the Building Inspector
be directed to issue building permits to Geo. Jackson, Herman Haas, Hilton Tink,
and Norman Metcalfe for houses to be built on property owned by the above.
Moved by Councillors Trull and Thompson that Road Supt. be authorized
h94�. to spend up to A50.00 on backhoe to investigate gravel pits.
Moved by Councillors Smith and Trull that an amount up to .1200.00
be spent on cleaning up Forestry lot.
5�4 7 Moved by Councillors Thompson and Trull that Township Clerk write
the Dept. of Lands and Forests objecting strongly to the naming of the V'rovincial
Park in Darlington Township "Oshawa Park" and that it be referred to as Darlington
Park" until such time as a more suitable name be found. Also that a service road
be constructed into the Park from Darlington.
