Hampton Dec. 4, 1958
Darlington Township Council met on the above date with
all members present, Reeve Nichols presiding.
Moved by Councillors Trull and Thompson that minutes of three previous meetings
be approved as read.
Moved by Deputy Reeve Rickard and Councillor Trull that -this council ask the
Attorney General's department to continue to police the Township with
the exception of that part of the Township west of the Scugog Road and
south of the sixth line, the exact boundaries to be dicided upon by the
attorney - General's Department and the Township Council, also that
the Department furnish an estimate of the cost of policing the remaining
area of t'_ne Township, on a contract basis.
Moved by Councillors Smith and Thompson that this Township contribute $25.00
to the fund being raised for the presentation to D. A. 1orrie, retiring
Dept of Highways Engonter.
Moved by Councillors Smith and Thompson that road accounts in the amount of
$6,570.51abe paid as presented.

Moved by Rickard and Trull that General accounts in the amount of "'4'4 72-4 be
paid as presented the cheque for Lloyd Ayre, $450.00 to be held until
solicitors opinion is obtained
Moved by Councillors Smith and Thompson that Deputy Returning Officers for
Township elections be paid X12.00 for each election.
Moved by Councillors Thompson and Trull that W.R. Pickell be paid a grant of
$50.00 in addition to his account rendered, for Weed Inspector Services in
1958.
Moved by Deputy Reeve Rickard and Councillor Trull that rule. 33 be suspended
for the duration of this session
On motion as attached, a By-law to Regulate the use of land and the
character, location and use of buildings and structure4 was given its
several readings, and ordered signed, sealed, and numbered 2106.
On motion the meeting adjourned.
