Darlington To-umship Council re-convened on this date in the Municipal
Building, all Members present with the exception of Deputy Reeve Rickard.
Reeve Nichols presided. Mr. Thompson, D.H.O. was also present.
rtl; Moved by Councillors Thompson and Smith that Clerk be instructed to
prepare a By-law to set tax rates as follows:
County Rate 9.5 Mills, Township Rate, Residential 6 Mills,
Co:�mercial 12 Mills, General School Rate 3.7 Mills, Roads 15 Mills, Fire Protection
1.5 Mills, Hampton Hydro rate 3 Mills, Federation of Agriculture .5 Mills, School
rates� y the various School Boards , the By-law to be prepared for passing at the
April 'fleeting of Council.
Moved by Councillors Thompson and Smith that Tender of Roads Resurfacing
Company for supply and distribution of asphalt products, and for the application
of chips as surface treatment,' be accepted as submitted.
Moved by Councillors Trull and Thompson that Tender of Hi-way Construction
o Co. to crush approximately 10000 yds pf gravel at .35 per yard at belt, .LO in
stock pile in pit, 'plus .35 delivered up to 6 miles, be accepted as submitted.
Messrs Lusk and Ferenz, of Ontario Hydro attended the meeting to discuss
costs of Street Lighting on Towr! Line. Estimates are to be submitted with
recanmend.ations.
