Darlington Township Council met in the Building on the above date,
all Members present, Reeve Nichols presiding.
Moved by Councillors Trull] and Thompson that minutesoff two previous meetings
be approved as read.
Moved by Deputy Reeve Rickard and Councillor Smith that General Accounts in
the amount of 739L.87 be paid as -oresented.
Moved by Councillors Smith and Thompson that Road Accounts in the amount of
-16137.79 be paid as presented.

Moved by Councillors Trull and Thompson that Courtice Road South of C. T.R.- to
C.K.I.B. Droperty be re constructed this year.
Correspondence was heard and dealt with as follows:
Letter from Village pf Newcastle, action deferred. to April 6, 1959.
Bell Telephone Co. re moving poles Lots A-& Con. 1. No Action.
Conant R! Polak re Burnett property--Clerk to reply after conferring with
Township Solicitor.
Letter from Farmers Union re vaccination of cattle, received and filed.
Letter from Greer and Kelly re Vance-water situation. Notify insurers and
reply.
Clerk was instructed to apply for additional a;_proval of A2000.00 winter
work programme, also to inform the 3owmanville Fire 'Dept.
lJoved by Dep. Reeve Rickard and Councillor Thompson that the Road Supt. be
authorized to register for the Road Supt.' s School, May 11 and 12, and that his expenses
be -paid.
As per motion attached, a By-law to appropiate the sum of AL5000-00 for
iz,,w suDplementery road expense was given its several readings and ordered signed, sealed and
=nbered 2122.
As per motions attached a By-law to set the 1959 tax rated for the Township
Le W and to impose a penalty for non payment of same, was given its several readings and
ordered signed, sealed and numbered 2123. 1

As per motions attached, a By-law to repeal By-law No 2091, was given its
several readings and ordered signed, sealed and numbered 202L.
As per motions attached a By-law to designate a Community Centre at Zion
was ziven its several readings and ordered signed, sealed and numbered 2425. It

Moved by Councillors Thompson and Smith that R.W.Nichols G B.Rickard, A.E.
Thompson, 'E.B.Trull,and 'F.G.Smith be a:. pointed as a Committee of for the Twp.
subject to the approval of the Ontario Municipal Board of By-law No. 2111, and that the
Nflinister be asked to process these names for approval at the proper time.
The Auditor' s report for 1958 was presented and tabled for further study.
