Darlington Township Council met on this date to ccmplete adjourned portion of November 5th meeting, present were Reeve Nichols, Deputy Reeve G. S. Rickard and Councillors Smith and Trull. Mr. Hoskin, Dog Catcher, attended to discuss dog control with Council. 59-115-1 Moved by Councillor Smith and Deputy Reeve Rickard that this Council hereby agree to assume; and to pay to Lhe Town of Bowmanville, before the end of 1959, one half of the approved cost of operating the joint Dog Control System for the two municipalities. 59-118-2 Moved by Deputy Reeve Rickard and Councillor Smith that Dr. Wheatley, . be informed that this Council feels that hounds should not be picked up by the Dog Control staff during hunting season, unless there is evidence of disease or viciousness, 'or.,bv request,. 59-11B-3 Moved by Councillors Trull and Smith that J. D. Hogarth be instructed ,/ to take proceedings to have Mrs. Sayer admitted to Golden 'lough Lodge. 59-113-4 Moved by Deputy Reeve Rickard and Councillor Smith that due to the fact the old school building at Hampton is not meeting with approval of Health Authorities, consideration be given to additional school accomodation at Hampton. 59-118-5 Moved by Councillors Smith and Trull that the salary of Mrs. Joan Joynt be increased by : 260.00 per annum to $2,31LO.00 per annum. 59-11F--�,7 On Motion as attached, a by-law to authorize the borrowing upon debentures of $601,000.00 for public school purposes, was given its first and second readings and numbered 2137, and is to be forwarded to Municipal Fbard for approval. 59-11B-8 Moved by Deputy Reeve Rickard and Councillor Smith that plans for the 7oymship Garage be submitted at Lhe December meeting so that they may be forwarded to the proper authorities for approval, and that the counties be notified that space will be available for the storage of one snow plough, on a rental basis.
