Darlington Township Council met in the Municipal Building on this date, Deputy-Reeve Blanchard presiding over the opening of the meeting, Councillors Smith, Cornish and Muir present. 62-5-1 Moved by Councillors Cornish and Smith that Resolution 62,4B-11, passed on April 23rd, be amended by adding "Mrs. Helen Whiter after "Glen Smith" so that the resolution shall read "Moved by Councillors Cornish and Smith that, regarding the request for re-zoning the property of Glen Smith and Mrs. Helen White from Greenbelt to R.3, this Council concurs with the recommendation of Planning Board, that the owners will be required to pay the costs, and that the Clerk is instructed to prepare the amending By-later for the next meeting." 62-5-2 Moved by Councillors Smith and Muir that the minutes of the meeting of April 23rd be adopted as read and corrected. 62-5-3 Moved by Councillors Muir and Smith that a license be purchased for the Cour�ice Fire truck and that the matter of insurance on the truck be investigated. 62-5-4 Moved by Councillors Cornish and Smith that the Road Committee, the Road Superintendent and the Weed Insp ector be - authorized to purchase weed spray material, and to set up a weed spraying programme for 1962. At this point Reeve Rickard assumed the chair. 62-5-5 Moved by Councillor Cornish and Deputy Reeve Blanchard that the Building Inspector of this Township is hereby authorized to consult the Township' s Solicitor at his discretion with regard to issuing building permits and enforcing Township By-laws. 62-5-6 Moved by Councillors Cornish and Smith that Mr. Varcoe consult Mr. Strike as to what extent, if any, the Township would be liable, if Mr. A. Mairs building permit were revoked. 62-5-7 Moved by Councillors Cornish and Smith that General Accounts in the amount of $8,1+10.44 be paid as presented. 62-5-8 Moved by Councilio'r Muir and Deputy Reeve Blanchard that Road Accounts in the amount of 13,500.00.,Abe paid as presented. 62-5-9 Moved by Deputy Reeve Blanchard and Councillor Cornish that the Clerk be instructed to recover, if possible, burial expense for Mrs. L. M. Revais. 62-5-10 Moved by Councillor Muir and Deputy Reeve Blanchard that the tender for supply of Trojan Loader Model 114, at $13,283.911be accepted, subject to the approval of the Ontario Department of Highways.` 62-5-11 Moved by Councillors Smith and Muir that the tender for supply of dump truck, snow plow and wing submitted by Cowan Equipment Co. , be not considered as section modulus quoted is that of single frame, not double channel as specified. 62-5-12 Moved by Councillors Cornish and Muir that the Roads foreman be authorized to purchase a bench grinder from Jackson Supply Co. at �18Q.Q0. 62-5-13 Moved by Deputy Reeve Blanchard and Councillor Muir that roads department be authorized to erect new wire fence on west side of Allen Down property in Lot 282 B.F.
