Hampton, May 17th, 1962.
Darlington Township Council met in the Municipal Building on
this date, all members present, Reeve Rickard presiding.
62-5D-1 Moved by Deputy Reeve Blanchard and Councillor Muir that the
minutes of the meetings of May 3rd, May 8th and May 11th, 1962, be
adopted as read.
62-5D-2 Moved by Deputy Reeve Blanchard and Councillor Cornish that
B.P. Products be given permission to erect and maintain signs on the
route to Mosport, from June 13th, 1962 to October 15th, 1962, at the
direction of the Road Supt. and that the necessary By-law be prepared
to authorize, prohibit and regulate erection of signs on Township roads.
62-5D-3 Moved by Councillor Smith and Councillor Cornish that Mr.
Little be asked to prepare a report on suggested amendments to By-law 2111
as regards additions tb non-conforming residential uses in Agricultural
Zones.
62-5D-4 Moved by Councillor Cornish and Councillor Muir that Mr. Varcoe
be requested by Council to visit Mr. A. Mairs and request him not to
proceed with his building unless it is made to conform with our By-laws.

62-5D-5 Moved by Councillor Muir and Councillor Smith that the matter
of hiring an additional member of staff be referred to the Finance
Committee for report to the next meeting of Council.
62-5D-6 Moved by Councillor Cornish and Councillor Smith that S. E.
White be appointed a member of the Committee of Adjustment for a three
year term to expire December 31st, 1964.
b2-5D-7 Moved by Councillor Muir and Councillor Smith that the Road
Commission of the Counties of Northumberland & Durham be requested to
extend their gravel crushing contract with Frank S. Coyle to include
approximately 10000 yds. for this Township, at the same prices as in
the County contract. J
b2-5D-8 Moved by Councillor Smith and Councillor Muir that rule 33 be
suspended for the duration of this meeting.
62-5D-9,10 On motions as filed, a By-law to further amend By-law 2111, was
given second and third reading and signed, sealed and numbered 2216.
62-5D-11 Moved by Councillors Smith and Cornish that a Court of
Revision under Sec. 64 & Sec. 131 of the Assessment Act be appointed and
that the members of the Court shall be,GB. Rickard, A. L. Blanchard,
S. Cornish, F. G. Smith and H. C. Muir.
62-5D-12 Moved by Deputy Reeve Blanchard and Councillor Muir that this
Council adjourn.
