Darlington Township Council met in the Municipal Building on
this date with all members present, Reeve Rickard presiding.
62-7C-1 Moved by Councillors Cornish and Muir that the minutes of the
meetings of July 5th and July 13th, 1962, be adopted as read.
62-7C-2 Moved by Councillor Cornish and Deputy Reeve Blanchard that
Mr. Varcoe be contacted for all details of the Lieffers case, and that
the information be sent to the Department for a report.
62-7C-3 Moved by Councillors Muir and Smith that the Clerk obtain
legal advice re Giles burial account.
62-7C-211, Moved by Councillor Muir and Deputy Reeve Blanchard that Clerk
contact Dr. At-7oolsey to find if a dog killed by Mike Panas had rabies.
62-7C-5 Moved by Councillors Smith and Muir that fir. Totten' s report
on street width and widening be received and filed and that a copy be
filed with Planning Board.
62-7C-6 Moved by Deputy Reeve Blanchard and Councillor Cornish that the
Clerk ,.Trite to Consumers Gas Co. thanking them for their contribution
toward costs of printing the Industrial Brochure.
62-7C-7 Moved by Councillors Smith and Cornish that applications
received for the position of caretaker at the Township dump be considered
at this time.

62-7C-8 Moved by Councillors Cornish and Muir that those Township
residents who have a_oplied for the position of caretaker of the dump,
be interviewed on July 23rd, at 8:00 p.m.
62-7C-9 Moved by Councillors Cornish and Smith that rule 33 be
suspended for the duration of this meeting.
62-7C-10 On motion as filed, a By-law to further amend By-law 2111,
as amended, was given first reading.
62-7C-11 Moved by Councillor Muir and Deputy Reeve Blanchard that
further study be given the By-law under consideratio ., and that it be
laid on the table until a future date.
62-7C-12 Moved by Councillor Muir and Deputy Reeve Blanchard that Geo.
Totten be appointed Engineering Consultant for this Township for the
building of bridges as provided for in the 1962 road program, and that
he be authorized to prepare specification and tender forms, and to
advertise for tenders, said tenders to close August 2nd., 1962 at
12:00 noon.
62-7C-13 Moved by Councillor Muir and Deputy Reeve Blanchard that R. M.
Short, Road Supt. be authorized to invite bids on culverts as provided
for in the 1962 Road programme.
62-7C-14 Moved by Deputy Reeve Blanchard and Councillor Cornish that
the Meeting adjourn.
