Darlington Township Council met in the Municipal Building on
this date with all members present, Reeve Rickard presiding.
62-8C-1 Moved by Councillor Cornish and Deputy Reeve Blanchard that the
minutes of August 2nd meeting be corrected by adding after Res 62-8-19
the following t'M.oved by Councillor Cornish and Deputy Reeve Blanchard
that the Building By-law be laid on the table for further discussion. "
62-8C-2 Moved by Councillors Cornish and Smith that the minutes of the
meeting of August 2nd be adopted as read and corrected.
62-8C-3 Moved by Deputy Reeve Blanchard that the minutes of the meeting
of August 13th be adopted as read.
62-8C-4 Moved by Councillors Smith and Muir that the School Area Boardss
letter re issuing debentures in the amount of $80,000.00 be laid on the
table for further discussion, and that the School Board be asked to meet
Council to discuss the proposal.
62-8C-5 Moved by Councillors Cornish and Smith that the Township Auditor
be asked to attend the above meeting.
62-8C-6 Moved by Deputy Reeve Blanchard and Councillor Muir that the
By-laws Committee take up the letter from the Department of Municipal
Affairs with the Township Solicitor and report to the next meeting.
62-8C-7 Moved by Councillor Smith and Deputy Reeve Blanchard that the
Reeve and Clerk be authorized to execute the release of an agreement with
Bruce Clarke, lot 19 Concession 5 registered November 18th, 1957.
62-8C-8 Moved by Councillors Cornish and Muir that the previous motion
be amended by adding "with the approval of the Tovmship Solicitor. "
Res. 62-8C-7 passed as amended.
62-8C-9 Moved by Deputy Reeve Blanchard and Councillor Cornish that Mike
Panas be paid $10.00 for killing a dog.
62-8C-10 Moved by Councillor Cornish and Deputy Reeve Blanchard that the
Road Committee meet the Road Supt. and try to arrange the Road,1Program to
accomodate construction of the two-rod road east of Union SchoolV ubject
to the approval of the Department of Highways, and provided that suitable
agreements with the property owners can be reached.
For the motion: Blanchard, Smith, Cornish and Rickard.
Against the motion: Muir.

62-8C-11 Moved by Councillors Smith and Muir that Geo. Totten be asked
for advice as to the improvement of the narrow streets in Enniskillen
and others.
62-8C-12 Moved by Councillors Cornish and Smith that this meeting
adjourn' to Friday, August 17th at 9: 00 am.

Darlington Township Council re-convened at 9:00 a.m. on this
date, pursuant to the adjournment of August 16th, 1962, all members
present, Reeve Rickard presiding.
62-8C-13 Moved by Deputy Reeve Blanchard and Councillor Smith that rule
33 be suspended for the duration of this meeting.
62-8C-1 .215,16 On motion as filed, a By-law to authorize the execution of an
agreement with Alfred Allin was given its several readings and signed,
sealed and numbered 2224.
62-8C-17218,19 On motions as filed, a By-law to amend By-law 2111, by allowing
certain commercial uses on part of lot 14, Concession B.F. , was given
it s several readings, signed, sealed, and numbered 2225.
62-SC-20,21,22 On motions as filed, a By-law to appoint A Road Supt. was given
its several readings, signed, sealed, and numbered 2226. ,,'a
62-8C-23 Moved by Councillors Cornish and Smith that this meeting adjourn
to Monday August 20th at 5:00 p.m.
