Darlington Township Council net on the above date at 7: 30 p.m. All members present with the exception of Deputy Reeve Blanchard who was absent due to illness. Reeve Rickard presided. The minutes of the meeting of September 6th were read. 62-9B-1 Moved by Councillors Cornish and Smith that motion 62-9-1 be corrected to read "adopted as read and corrected" . 62-9B-2 Moved by Councillors Smith and Muir that the motion re signing of Fire Protection By-law No 2227 be included in the minutes of September 6th. 62-9B-3 Moved by Councillors Cornish and Smith that motion No. 69-9-19 be corrected to read '?that fee submitted for Audit of the year 1962 be accepted as submitted'? . Moved by Councillors Muir and Cornish that the minutes of September 6th meeting be adopted as corrected. Delegations Mr. Schoonderbeek addressed Council, re transportation of pupils to S.S. #t17. 62-9B-5 Moved by Councillors Smith and Cornish, that the Council meet with the School Trustees of S.S. Numbers 17, 15, 14, 19, 16, 10, and the Public School Inspector, to try and solve the problem of trans- portation of the children to school. Mr. Lyczba addressed Council, asking if a license for motorcycle race track had been given for the o-�mers of property in Lot 33, Concession 4, Darlington. 62-9B-6 Moved by Councillors Cornish and Smith that, the fact that a motorcycle Race Track is operating without a license in the Township of Darlington, the Law Enforcement Officer be authorized to acquaint the proper authorities and have proper steps taken to have the situation corrected. j Mr. Doyle spoke to Council re fence on his property - Referred to Road Superintendent. Mrs. Budai presented a Petition, re the correcting of dangerous road condition existing on Gravel Pit road. 62-9B-7 Moved by Councillors Cornish and Smith that the Petition be accepted, and referred to Road Committee & Road Supt. to take action. Carried. Mrs. White addressed Council re Wilbur and Anderson properties. Mr. Leiffers presented Council with a Petition, re persons having no objection to Mr. Ted Leiffers building a body shop on Lot 35, Concession 2, Darlington, and requesting a permit for the building, which has already been erected. This was referred to the Building Inspector. Mr. Rickard reported on the meeting with the Ambulance Committee. Letter was read from Mr. Glenholme Hughes, Chairman of Committee, re the recommendation of Harvey' s Ambulance Service for Ambulance Service to the districts of Bowmanville, Darlington and Clarke. 62-9B-8 Moved by Councillors Muir and Smith that Darlington Township accept Ambulance Service as offered to the various municipalities on an assessment basis as to cost. Complaints of the hazardous condition of Buildings on property, Lot 20, Concession 2, called Black Cat Inn were discussed. 62-9B-9 Moved by Councillors Cornish and Smith that, E. A. Varcoe, Building Inspector, be authorized to notify owner of property known as Black Cat Inn, that this property must be torn down or repaired so that it is in a safe condition, within 10 days of this Resolution, and, failing compliance, the Building Inspector is hereby authorized, with such employees as he sees fit, to tear down said building at the expense of the owner, pursuant to the Township of Darlington Razing By-law No. 2162. 62-9B-10 Moved by Councillors Cornish and Muir that this meeting adjourn.
