Darlington Township Council met in the Municipal Building on
this date, Reeve Richard presiding, all members present except Councillor
Smith who was absent due to illness.
62-11-1 Yloved by Deputy Reeve Blanchard and Councillor Muir that the
minutes of the meeting of October 19th be adopted as read.
62-11-2 Moved by Councillor Muir and Deputy Reeve Blanchard that this
Council concur in the recommendation of the Towns-11ip Solicitor, and that
Ine zoning of prop erties on the south side of Highway ;,12 in lot 35 be
amended so that the C2 zone shall extend from the Town Line east to the e=ast
side of the Lieffers property and to the full depth of the properties
involved, and that the C1 zone in that location be extended by the
same amendment to include the full depth of the properties .,,hich are
now partly zoned Cl.
62-11-3 Moved by Councillors Muir and Cornish that Mr. Lieffers be
advised to apply to Committee of Adjust_aent for relief from the side-
�va.rd rec_uirem.ents of zoning By-law 2111.
62-11-4 Moved by Councillor Muir and Deputy Reeve Blanchard that the
Road Supt. be authorized to purchase a Malsbary reconditioned steam
cleaner Model 250, Serial 22705 at a total cost, including tax of
1,648.00.
62-11-5 Moved by Councillor ifiuir and Deputy Reeve Blanchard that the
United Counties of Northumberland and Durham be given permission to
store ap3roximately 1000 yards of sand for winter control on the
Township Roads Department lot.
62-11-6 Moved by Councillor Muir and Deputy Reeve Blanchard that the
Road Supt. be authorized to sell 1000 yards of sand from the Jeffery pit
to the United Counties of Northumberland and Durham, at 15� per yard.
62-11-7 Moved by Councillor Muir and Deputy Reeve Blanchard that Geo.
Totten be instructed to prepare plans, specifications, and tender forms,
and to call for tenders for the construction of the Marti Bridge.
62-11-5 Moved by Councillor Muir and Deputy Reeve Blanchard that
approval of the Ontario Department o� Highways be requested for the
transfer of : b,400.00 from bridge construction, King Culvert Lot 32,
Concession 2, to bridge construction, Marti Bridge, road between lots 6
and 7, Concession 1 Darlington.
6.2.-11-9 gloved by Deputy Reeve Blanchard and Councillor Muir that
accounts for the month of October, 1962, in the amount of 860,/+30.9,4 be
paid as presented.
62-11-10 Moved by Councillor Cornish and Deputy Reeve Blanchard that,
further to Res. 62-10-6 passed on October lith, 1962, the term of the
Public School Debenture issue proposed shall be 2O years.
62-11-11 Moved by Councillor Muir and Deputy Reeve Blanchard that the
Road Supt. be authorized to do ghat levelling is necessary on the
Haunsberger road for snow plowing.
62-11-12 Moved by Councillor Cornish and Deputy Reeve Blanchard that
this meeting adjourn to Monday November 5th at 7: 30 p.m.
