Darlington Township Council met on this date pursuant to
motion for adjournment on november 1st, Reeve Rickard presiding, all
members present except Councillor Smith, i,rho was absent due to illness.
61-?1-13 Moved by Councillor Cornish and Deputy Reeve Blanchard that
a letter from OshaiA,,a General Hospital Board requesting financial
assistance from the Township be referred to 1963 Council with the
recommendation that be given favourable consideration in setting up
the 1963 budget and that the Clerk be instructed to inform the Board of
this motion.
61-11-14 Moved by Councillor Muir and Deputy Reeve B1=_nchard that
Ernest Schweizer be notified that if he submits an account for work at
the Township Dur?p for 6 hours at per hour plus '5.00, it tri-i11 be
paid.
61-11-15 Moved by Councillor Muir and Deputy Reeve Blanchard that
Clarence Tick be Maid "15.00 for a building moved to the Township Dump
in Lot 20, Concession 3.
61-11-16 Moved by Deputy Reeve Blanchard and Councillor Cornish that
Clerk advise the Department of Lands and Forests that a fee of '100.00
for the use of the Dump for the 1962 season 3•:rould be acceptable.
61-11-17 Moved by Councillor Cornish and Deputy Reeve Blanchard that
the Clerk be authorized to purchase a .postage meter Model 5500, from
Pitney Bowes.
61-11-18 Loved by Councillor Muir and. Deputy Reeve Blanchard that rule
33 be suspended for the duration_ of this meeting.
61-11-19,20,21 On motions as filed, a By-law to authori�e the execution of an
agreement to provide ambulance service was given its several readings,
and signed, sealed and numbered 2230.
61-11-2 moved by Councillor Muir and Deputy Reeve Blanchard that this
Council petition the Ontario Department of Highways to provide turning
areas for Township Road equipment where side roads are closed on the
north side of Highway ' J+01.
61-11-23 Moved by Councillors Cornish and Muir that the Township
Solicitor be recuested to attend. the Hunicipal Board hearing on
November 23rd 1962:.
61-11-2 Moved by Councillor Muir and Deputy Reeve Blanchard that the
next meeting of Darlington Township Council be held on November 15th, 1962
at 1: 30 p.m.
61-11-25 moved by Councillor Cornish and Deputy Reeve Blanchard that the
members of the Committee of Adjustment be paid '100.00 each. for 1961 and
'100.00 for 1962.
61-11-26 Moved by Councillor Muir and. Deputy Reeve Blanchard that the
Clerk contact the Department of Municipal Affairs as to authority for
Street Lighting assessment on a fee basis, rather than on a mill rate.
