Darlington To�,nship Council met in the Municipal Building on
this date, all members ;resent, Reeve Rickard presiding.
62-12-1 Moved by Councillors Cornish and Smith that the minutes of
November loth and November 27th be ado-rted as read.
61-1-12-2 Moved by Councillors Cornish and Smith that owners of ncroperty
in the Commercial Zones in lot 35, Concession 2, and representatives
of Oshawa Planning Board and, Council be invited to attend a meeting to
discuss the proposed re-zoning in that area.
62-12-3 Moved by Councillor Muir and Deputy Reeve Blanchard that
accounts in the amount of $231,418. 37 be passed as presented. (copy
attached)
62-12-4 1doved by Councillors Smith and Cornish that this Council
reco=end to 1963 Council that a Committee be ap )ointed to care for
abandoned cemeteries in the ToT"mship.
6 2-1%-5 roved by COL2nCillor Muir anC Denuty Reeve Blanchard t^at first
reading be given a By-law to amend. By-law 2111 by altering the
boundaries of the Commercial zones in Lot 35, Concession 2.
62-12-6 IMoved by Deputy Reeve Blanchard and Councillor Muir that T,,-. R.
Pi ckell be commended for his excellent ,r,,ork as 4.;eed Ins--ector over the
past years, and that a letter to this effect be sent to hire.
62-12-7 Hoved by Councillors Cornish and Smith that a licensing By-lay+
-prepared by this Council be favoura'_!ly recommended to 1963 Council.
S_ motion by Councillor Cornish that money contributed by B.
Schweda for road construction be refunded was not seconded.
62:-12-8 Moved by Councillors Muir and Cornish that the Reeve and Deputy
Reeve try to arrange a dinner for Council members, members elect, v
apoo i ntees of Council and staff, before the end of this year.
62-12-9 Moved by Councillors Smith and Muir that the next meeting of
Council be held on December 20th, 1962 at 1: 30 p.m.
