Darlington Township Council met in the Municipal Building on
this date, all members present, Reeve Blanchard presiding.
63-2-1 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Gibbs that in the
minutes of the meeting of January 28th, Resolutions 63-IC-9 and 63-1C-10
be corrected to record the vote.
63-2.-2 Moved by Councillor Budai and Deputy Reeve Muir that the
minutes of the meetings of January 2L;th and January 28th be adopted as
read and corrected.
63-2-3 Moved by Councillors Down and Budai that the request for road
improvement made by Mr. Trjuls, Concession 10, be referred to the road
committee.
63-2-4- Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Gibbs that Clifford
Pethick be re-appointed Warble Fly Inspector and sprayer on the same
terms as in 1962.
63-2-5 Moved by Councillors Down and Gibbs that the tenders received
for supply of a truck be opened at this time.

63-2-6 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Gibbs that tenders
received be referred to the Road Supt. and the Department of Highways
for analysis and report to Council.
63-2-7 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Budai that Geo .
Totten be appointed consulting engineer for this Township for. 1963.
63-2-8 Roved by Councillors Down. and Gibbs that this Council now rise
to sit in Committee of the whole, and that this session shall resume
at the conclusion of the committee meeting.
Council resumed at 4: 35 p.m. Reeve Blanchard in the chair.
63-2-9 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and. Councillor Down that the Road
Supt. be instructed to take all tenders to the Department of Highways for
analysis.
63-2-10 Moved by Councillors Gibbs and Budai that this Township' s
agreement with S tephen Jeffery be amended to relieve the Township of
the requirement of replacing the topsoil after expiration of the
agreement, and to relieve the Township of all responsibility for
conditions caused by persons other than employees of the Township,
and that the Township signing officers be authorized to execute such
an amendment to the agreement.
63-2-11 Moved by Councillors Down and Budai that Mr. K. Peters request
for snow plowing be referred to the Road Committee.
63-2-12 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Budai that the
request of A. Crawford to hire a bulldozer for work at the dump be
referred to the Property committee.
63-2-13 Moved by Councillors Down and Budai that accounts for the
month of January, 1963, be paid as presented. ($34,400.07)irk
63-2-14 Moved by Councillors Down and Gibbs that this session adjourn
until 8:00 p.m. on this date.
63-2-15 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Down that Mrs.
Budai be appointed to attend the Planning Seminar at the University of
Western Ontario on February 27th, 1963.
63-2-16 Moved by Councillors Budai and Down that a resolution from
Wentworth County re use of mineral based detergents be endorsed by
this Council and forwarded to the Prime Minister as reQuested.
63-2-17 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Budai that the
Public Property Committee investigate and order Warble Fly Powder for
19 63.
63-2-18 Moved by Councillor Down and Deputy Reeve Muir that P. Westlake,
H. Yellowlees, Bruce Tink, L. Broome, B. Taylor, E. Vice, Mrs. M. Budai
and Deputy Reeve Muir be members of Solina Community Centre Board for 1963.
63-2-19 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Down that rule 33 be
suspended for the duration of this meeting.

63-2-20,21,22 On motions as filed a By-law to provide for participation in
the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System was given its several
readings and signed, sealed and numbered 21132.
63-2-23 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Budai that the rate
paid Mrs. Bradley for part-time assistance to the Assessor be $1.30
per hour.
63-2-24 Moved by Councillors Budai and Down that this meeting adjourn.
