Hampton, May 16th, 1963.
Darlington Township Council met in the Municipal Building on
this date, all members present, Reeve Blanchard presiding.
63-5C-1 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Budai that the
minutes of the meetings of May 2nd and May 9th be adopted as read.
63-5C-2 Moved by Councillors Gibbs and Budai that the report on
Township Insurance coverage be received and referred to the Finance
Committee.
63-5C-3 Moved by Councillors Down and Gibbs that Mrs. Whitets complaint
as to Mr. Anderson' s legal right to erect a house on his lot in Lot 35,
Concession 5, be referred to the By-lawts Committee with power to obtain
legal advice.
63-5C-4 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Down that council
adjourn for 15 minutes.
Council resumed at L,: LO p.m.
63-5C-5 Moved by Councillors Down and Budai that a three week leave of
absence, without pay, be granted Mrs. S. Schuddeboom, at a time to be
determined by the Township Clerk.
63-5C-6 Moved by Councillors Budai and Down that the Reeve and Treasurer
be authorized to issue cheques on Special Account No. L. in the amount of
$2, 6L,7.75, and Welfare cheques in the amount of $2L.2.27.
63-5C-7 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Gibbs that the Clerk
be instructed to direct a letter to the City of Oshawa asking for
comment on the proposed re-zoning in Lot 35, Concession 1, Darlington.
63-5C-8 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Budai that rule 33 be
suspended for the duration of this meeting.
63-5C-9,10,11 On motions as filed a By-law to appoint a deed Inspector was
given its several readings and numbered 22L.4•
63-5C-12 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Budai that the
matter of improvements to the Parking lot and front of Municipal Building
be referred to the Property Committee with power to act.
63-5C-13 Moved by Councillor Gibbs and Deputy Reeve Muir that the
Reeve and Clerk be authorized to execute an agreement with Ronald Oben
which would pay him $200.00 per acre for land required, $100.00 for
damages and four dollars per rod for lieu of fence.

meeting adjourn.
