Darlington Township Council met in the Municipal Building on this date, all members present, Reeve Blanchard presiding. 63-7C-1 Moved by Councillors Gibbs and Budai that the minutes of the meetings of July Lath and July 8th, 1963, be adopted as read. 63-7C-2 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Gibbs that the title to the north half of the road allowance between lots 8 and 9, Concession 8, as well as a reported conveyance of an adjacent road allowance, be investigated by the Township' s Solicitor. 63-7C-3 Moved. by Councillors Down and Gibbs that the Blackstock Fair Board be paid a grant of $25.00 for the year 1963, and that the Board be informed that if a larger grant is desired in 1964, a request should be v made early in that year so that the expenditure can be included in the annual budget. 63-7C-5 Moved by Councillor Budai and Deputy Reeve Muir that tl_e Clerk of the United Counties be informed that this Council feels that an Inspector under the Construction Sa.fey Act should be the responsibility of the United Counties. I 63-7C-6 Moved by Councillor Down and. Deputy Reeve Muir that Jas. A. Hoskin, Dog Control Officer, be requested to attend a meeting of this Council in Committee on August lst, 1963 at 1: 00 p.m. 63-7C-7 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Gibbs that this Council endorse a resolution forwarded by Chinguacousy Township, requesting an amendment to legislation which would give Planning Boards control of land separations up to 25 acres. 63-7C-8 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Gibbs that Mr. A. Schmidt be informed that, as his lot has frontage on a paved road, Council will not improve the unopened road allowance between lots 30 and 31 in Concession J., as requested. 63-7C-9 Moved by Councillor Down and Deputy Reeve Muir that Council now adjourn to the call of the chair. Council was called to order at 10: 25 p.m. 63-7C-1O Moved by Councillors Budai and Dorn that accounts for the month of June, 1963, as listed herewith, be ?paid: Salaries 1-15 $1,85 .•60 16-30 1,206.02 Welfare 900.01,E General 101490. 56\, Roads 101778.45 Roads paylist 1 - 15 11716.80\ 16 - 30 14698.10\ Special Acct. #4 9,297.30 #'3 80.00 638,021.8x. 63-7C-11 Moved by Councillor Budai and Deputy Reeve Muir that rule 33 be suspended for the duration of this meeting. 63-7C-12,13,14 On motions as filed a By-law to further amend By-Law 2111, as amended was given its several readings and signed, sealed and numbered 22x,6. 63-7C-15 Moved by Douncillors Budai and Gibbs that in view of the opposition expressed to the proposal for street lighting in Enniskillen, the Council will not proceed with the ratter at this time. b3-7C-16 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Gibbs that the Reeve ` and Clerk be, and are hereby authorized to execute all documents I necessary to the purchase of lands for the completion of the King Bridge. 63-7C-17 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Gibbs that the Clerk be instructed to write Elmer Pollard advising him that before any construction is done on Westmore Street, he should consult the Township as to whether a road may be constructed, and if approval for construction is given, he should then submit specifications for the proposed road to the Township for approval. 63-7C-1£3 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Budai that the matter of applying an exterior sealer finish to the Municipal Building be referred to the Public Property Committee with power to act. 63-7C-19 Moved by Councillor Budai and Deputy Reeve Muir that the meeting adjourn.
