Hampton, November 7th, 1963.
Darlington Township Council met in the Municipal Building on
this date, all members present, Reeve Blanchard presiding.
63-11-1 Moved by Councillors Gibbs and Budai that the minutes of the
meetings held October 18th, October 21st, and October 21+th, be adopted
as read.
63-11-2 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Budai that J. F.
Heyland be re-appointed to the Durham County District High School Board
for a. three-year term to expire December 31st, , 1966.
63-11-3 Moved by Councillors Gibbs and Down that a complementary copy
of the Official Plan be forwarded to J . Carruthers, Field Officer for
the Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority.
63-11-,4 Moved by Councillors Budai and Gibbs that an eighth page
advertisement be placed in the 1964 World. Wide issue of the Financial
Post, as suggested in a letter from Consumers Gas Company dated October
30th, 1963.
63-11-5 Moved by Councillors Down and Gibbs that Deputy Reeve Muir be
excused from voting on By-law 2239, because of a possible conflict of
interest.
63-11-6 Moved by Councillors Budai and Gibbs that rule 33 be suspended
for the duration of this meeting.
63-11-758 & 9 On motions as filed a By-law to amen., By-law 2239 as directed
by the Ontario Municipal Board was given its several readings, signed,
sealed and numbered 2249.
63-11-10 Moved by Councillor Budai and Deputy Reeve Muir that the next
meeting of this Council be held on November 14,th, 1963 at 1:30 p.m.
63-11-11 Moved by Councillors Budai and Gibbs that this Council adjourn
to the cal' of the chair.
Council was called to order by the Reeve at 5: 15 p.m.
63-11-12 Moved by Councillor Budai and Deputy Reeve Muir that D. A.
Gorrie be engaged to negotiate with o7dmers of property to be required
in connection with the Base Line Developement Roads at the rate of
'12.00 per day plus .10 per mile.
63-11-13 Moved by Councillor Gibbs and Deputy Reeve Muir that the
Ontario Department of Highways be requested to inspect, with a view to
possible purchase by this Township, two four-jv=heel-drive trucks, as
follows:
1. F.V.D. Model HRYT Serial No. 116941, equipped with Model 248
SP, snow plow, and 11 foot wing model 30210R, price asked $3, 500.00
owner Howard Grier, Wyevale, Ontario.
2. F.W.D. Model SU Serial No. 72393, equipped with snow plot;,
model 158 SP, and 11 foot ,ring, price asked $3, 500.00, owner Eric Pauze,
Perkinsfield, Ontario.
It is the intention of this Council to purchase one of these
trucks, depending on the inspection report.
