Darlington Township Council net in the Municipal Building on
this date, all members Dresent, Reeve Blanchard presiding.
64-3-1 Moved by Councillors Gibbs and Down that the minutes of the
meetings held February 20th and February 21st, 1964 be adopted as read.
64-3-2 'loved by Councillors Budai and Down that Bflvdm an.ville Recreation
Committee be informed that it is not the policy of this Council to
contribute to local boards of other municipalities.
64-3-3 Moved by Councillor) Gibbs and Deputy Reeve Muir that Orval
Grills be re-appointed Weed Inspect,o . �f or 196.x.
64-30 Moved by Councillors Dot=rr falt Council now recess for a. short
term.

64-3-5 Ho CTed by Councillors Budai and Dozen that the report of the
Finance Committee on 1964 budget be adopted.
64-3-6 Moved by Deputy Reeve Kuir ant Councillor Gibbs that rule 33
be suspended for the duration of this meeting.
64-3-7,8,9 On motions as filed, a By-law to provide for the control and
maintenance of four cemeteries was given its several readings and
signed, sealed and numbered 2257.
64-3-10211,12 On motions as filed a By-law to appoint an Assessor was given
its several readings and signed_, sealed and numbered 2258.
Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir that salary of D. G. Kemp be
x;5,00.0.00 per year.
The motion was not seconded.
64-3-13 Moved. by Councillor Dowr! and Gibbs that the salary of D. G. Kemp,
Assessor be $5,250.00 per annum plus a_ car allowance of 11,000.00 per
year.
64-3-14,15,16 On motions as filed a By-law to provide for an expenditure on
roads of 0155,000.0 was given its several readings and signed, sealed
and numbered. 22:59.4
64-3-17,15,19 On motions as filed a By-law to provide for a supplementary
road expenditure in 1964 of 1115, 600.00 was given its several readings
and signed, sealed and numbered 2260.E
64-3-20 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Gibbs that the Road
Supt. be authorized to call for tenders on the following items, within
the limits set by the 1961 Road Program, at such time as appears to hirr
to be in the Township' s best interest.
1. Tenders for gravel crushing.
2. Tenders for Concrete culverts.
3. Tenders for Multiplate.
4. Tenders for Hot-mix paving.
5. To arrange with the United_ Counties to have priming and
surface treatment done at the Counties contract prices.
64-3-21 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Gibbs that the Road
Supt. and Clerk be authorized to advertise for tenders for supply of a
pick-up truck, and for supply of a tractor, equipped with mower and
post-hole digger.
64-3-22 Moved by Councillors Budai and Down that the Reeve and Treasurer
be authorized to issue cheques in payment of Road accounts for the
month of February.
61;-3-23 Moved by Councillors Budai and Down that the Clerk be
authorized to purchase a. neer filing cabinet for the Welfare Office.
64-3-21; Moved by Councillor Gibbs and Deputy Reeve Muir that the Clerk
be authorized to purchase 600 lbs. of Warble Fly Powder from S.S. Morton.
64-3-25 Moved by Councillors Down. and. Gibbs that wages of road
employees be increased by .08 per hour, and that the holiday By-law be
amended to provide for 3 weeks holidays after 10 years service.
64-3-26 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Budai that the
previous motion be amended to read., Athat ,rages of road employees be
increased by .10 per hour'

64-3-27 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor T dai that the salary
of the Road Supt. be increased by 1500.00 per year. �
64-3-28 Moved by Councillor Budai and Deputy Reeve Muir that By-law 219//+
be amended to provide for 3 weeks vacation with pay for all employees,
after 10 years service.
64-3-29 Moved by Councillors Down and Budai that this meeting adjourn.
