Darlington Township Council met this day in the Municipal Building, all Members present, Reeve Blanchard presiding. 64-7-1 Moved by Councillor Gibbs and Deputy Aeeve Muir that the minutes of the meeting of June 18, be adopted as read. 64-7-2 Moved by Councillor Budai and Deputy Aeeve Muir that this Township' s Insurance coverage with Frank Cowan Agency be renewed as previously in force with the following changes; 1. Coverage on 1944 fire truck to be deleted. 2. Libel and Slander to be covered. 3. Spray Liability to be increased to $307000.00 64-7-3 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Gibbs that Council recess, I Council re-convened at 4.40 P.m. 64-7-4 Moved by Councillors Budai and Down that the Minister of Municipal Affairs be petitioned for authority--;to accept cash in lieu of 5 % of lands as a condition to final approval of Pollard Sub-division. 64-7-5 Moved by Deputy -lieeize Muir and Councillor Budai that the Clerk request Health Authority for opinion on which lots in Pollard Sub-division need fill Before final approval. 64-7-6 Moved by Councillors Down and Budai that By-law 2273 be amended in accordance with the suggestions contained in a letter from tha Minister of Municipal Affairs dated June 26, 1964. 64-7-7 Moved by Councillors Down and Budai that the Clerk and Councillor Gibbs compose and forward a letter to Central Lake Ontario Conservation AuthoritSr:1_-._re- possibility of improving Hampton Mill Pond as a Conservation Project. 64-7-8 Moved by Councillor Down and Deputy Reeve Muir Whereas this Council of the Corporation of Darlington has been asked to approve a two-room addition to Millbrook High School at a cost estimated by the Department of Education to be $42, 1500.00 be it resolved that the Durham County District High School Board be granted permission to engage architects, draw plans and advertise for tenders for this project. 64-7-9 Moved by Councillors Down and Budai : Whereas the cost of the addition to Millbrook High School will be about $42,500-00 7 the Corporation of Darlington resolves that the Durham County High School Board be permitted to pay for this out of Current Funds in order to save the cost of debentures. To be put into effect,t'nis resolution must be approved by the majority of the Municipalities. The Department of Education has agreed to pay their share the year following completion. 64-7-10 Moved by Councillors Gibbs and Budai that all correspondence not otherwise dealt with, be received and filed. 2 64-7-11 Moved by Councillor Gibbs and Deputy Reeve Muir that the Property Committee be authorized to have a fence constructed on the North and East side of the Township' s Tyrone dump. 64-7-12 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Gibbs that the Ontario Department of Highways be requested to consider revising sign regulations to permit service centres not located on Highway ppoperty to arrange for direction signs located on or near the right-of-way. 64-7713 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Gibbs that Road Accounts for June in the amount of $ 13357.73 be passed for payment. 64-7-14 Moved by Councillors Budai and Down that the meeting adjourn, Reeve Clerk.
