Darlington Township Council met in the Municipal Building on
this date, all members present, Reeve Blanchard presiding.
64-8C-1 Moved by Councillors Budai and Gibbs that the minutes of the
meetings held August 6th and August 13th, 1964, be adopted as read.
64-8C-2 Moved by Councillors Budai and Down that accounts for the
month of July, 1964, as listed herewith, be paid:

64-8C-3 Moved by Councillors Gibbs and Down that the Clerk be
instructed to acknowledge a letter from the Department of Lands and Forests
regarding the use of numbered back patches for hunters, and to point out
that licenses are issued by the Township' s Game Commission rather than
the Clerk' s office, also to for-ward a copy of the Department's letter
to the Township Game Commission.
64-8c-1-4 Moved by Councillors Gibbs and Budai that two resolutions from
Durham County District High School Board re construction of a vocational
school be tabled for further. consideration, and that members of the
Board be invited to meet Council to discuss this and other matters of
common interest.
64-8c_5 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Down that
correspondence from Mrs. Hurson, forwarded by the Town Clerk, protesting
re-zoning of land in Darlington Township, be received and filed.
64-8co-6 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Budai that this
Township' s agreement for fire protection with the Town of Bowmanville be
amended to increase the annual retainer by $700-00, effective for the
year 1964.
64-8C-7 Moved by Councillors Budai and Gibbs that the Clerk be
authorized to purchase a new typewriter from Cook Office Supply.

Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Gibbs that the Reeve
and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a direction to the Ontario
Department of Highways , for the preparation of a conveyance of lands in
Lot 32, Broken Front, required for road widening purposes.
64-8C-9 Moved by Councillors Down and Gibbs that Rule 33 be suspended
for the duration of this meeting.
64-SC-10,11 c 12 On motions as filed, a By-law to authorize the re-location of
grave markers in Solina (Baker' s) Cemetery, was given its several
readings, signed, sealed and numbered 2276.
64-8C-13 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Budai that G. L. Totten
be consulted for advice as to acquiring the necessary lands for road
improvement on Prestonvale Road.
