Darlington Planning Board met in Special Session in the
Council Chambers on this date, with members of Council and the
Industrial Committee to discuss the re-zoning proposal submitted by
St. Mary' s Cement Company. Those present were; Mr. Muir, Vice-
Chairmang Mrs. Budai, Messrs. McGill, Ayre, Quantrill, Cookson and
Watson, also Reeve Blanchard, Councillor Gibbs, H. Balson, Chairman,
Darlington Industrial Committee, W. Parrinder, and G. Rickard

members of the Committee, Mr. A.A.H. Strike, Township Solicitor,
D.W.J. Little, Township Planning Consultant, E. Laird, Building
Inspector, D. Kemp, Assessor, G. Dallas, Treasurer and W. E. Rundle,
Clerk-Administrator, and Secretary of the Planning Board.
Moved by Mr. Ayre, seconded by Mr. Quantrill that this
Board approve in principle the application of St. Mary' s Cement
Company for an amendment to the Township' s Official Plan and Zoning
By-law to permit the establishment and operation of a cement
processing plant and quarry in the Broken Front Concession, and that
this Board recommend to Council that the above amendments be
carried out, subject to the conditions presented to, and approved
by this meeting, and that this Board request Council' s concurrence
in this recommendation.
Moved by Mr. McGill, seconded by Mrs. Budai that this
meeting adjourn.
