Darlington Township Council met in the Municipal Building on
!i this date, all members present, Reeve Blanchard presiding.
64-11-1 Moved by Councillor Gibbs and Deputy Reeve Muir that the
minutes of the meeting held October 22nd be adopted as read.
64-11-2 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Gibbs that road
accounts for the month of October 1964, as approved by the roads
Committee, in the amount of $51,262.63, be approved for payment.
61--11-3 Moved by Councillors Gibbs and Budai that C. Clare Allin be
re-appointed to the Durhm County District High School Board for a
three year term to exp ire January lst, 1968.
Moved by Councillor Down and Deputy Reeve Muir that rule 33
be suspended for durati=on of this meeting.
64-11-516,7 On motions as filed, a By-law to authorize the purchase of
land for widening the Base Line Road was given its several readings,
signed, sealed and numbered 2284. 4
64-11-8 Moved by Councillors Down and Budai that this Council directs that
the public school rates of Eva Novak, Lot 25, Concession 2, presently
assessed as separate school, be paid to public schools, because4�lan error
in preparing the assessment roll, as authorized by Section 55 of the
Separate Schools Act.
6 -11®9 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Gibbs that the
Township' s Solicitor be instructed to inform the Solicitor for owners of
land on Developement -Road 706, that the Councils decision to abide by
the valuation set by the Township' s appriaser has not been changed.
64--11-10 Moved by Councillors Down and Budai that the Treasurer be and
is hereby authorized to offer for sale by tender a property in Lot 35,
Concession 2, Formerly owned by John Olesheskie.
64-11-11 Moved by Councillor Budai and Deputy Reeve Muir that this
Township' s policy regarding filling of ditches by installing tile as
storm sewer shall be that open ditches will be maintained in all cases
other than in cases where a special agreement is arranged to the
specifications of Township road authorities.
6)+-11-12 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Gibbs that the Clerk
and Road Supt. be authorized to advertise for tenders for supply of a
platform truck with hoist.
64-11-13 Moved by Councillors Budai and Down that this meeting adjourn.
