Hampton, January 26th, 1965.
Committee of The Whole Council.
The Committee makes the following recommendation to Council.
Moved by Mr. Muir and Mrs. Budai that 'Charles Warren be
offered the position of Building Inspector, By-Law Enforcement Officer
and School Attendance Officer for the Township of Darlington, the salary,
including car allowance to be $5,000.00, and the division of salary and
car allowance to be agreed upon.
Moved by Mr. Gibbs and Mr. Muir that if Mr. Warren does not
accept, the Clerk will advertise for applications.
Moved by Mrs. Budai and Mr. Gibbs that the salaries of Mrs.
Schuddeboom, Miss Nidderv, Mr. Dallas and Mr. Rundle be increased by
$250.00 per year9 and that Mr. Kemp' s salary be increased by $500.00 per
year,
Moved by Mr. Muir and Mr. Gibbs that the Clerk investigate the
limits of allowances which may be paid to members of Council, and report
to next meeting.
The Committee rose to resume Council session.

Darlington To7,vTnship Council met in the Municipal Building on
this date, pursuant to the adjournment of the meeting held January 215th,
1965, all members present except Reeve Blanchard, who was absent on
County business , Deputy Reeve Muir presiding.
65-1C-12 Moved by Councillors Down and Budai that Day cheques for wages,
salaries, and welfare cheques authorized by the Welfare Administratrix, ri
be issued on the second and seventeenth of each month or if those days
fall on a Sunday or other holiday, on the day following.
Moved by Councillors Gibbs and Do-:m that a testimonial banquet
be tendered Warden Blanchard early in 1965, and that Deputy Reeve Muir
be authorized to appoint committees to make arrangements for the banquet.
Deputy Reeve Muir appointed the following:
Finance, tickets and accommodation - Down & Gibbs.
Program, Menu & Printing - Budai ec Rundle.
65_1C_-L4 Moved by Councillors Budai and Gibbs that this Council now
adjourn to sit in Committee of the Whole Council, and that Councillor
Down be Chairman of the Committee.
Council resumed at 6:00 p.m. , Deputy Reeve Muir in the Chair.
Moved by Councillors Do,m and Budai that this meeting
adjourn.
