• Darlington Township Council met in the Municipal Building on
this date, Deputy Reeve Muir presiding, all Members present.
65-5-1 Moved by Councillors Budai and Gibbs that the minutes of the
meeting held April 152 be adopted as read.
65-5-2 Moved by Councillors Gibbs and Budai that this Council does not
concur with a Resolution regarding sharing of High School costs,
forwarded by the Councils of the Town of Port :dope and Hope Township.
65-5-3 Moved by Councillors Down and Gibbs that the Central Lake
Ontario Conservation Authority be informed that it is the intention of
the present Council to maintain the roads giving access to the proposed
Enniskillen Conservation Area to at least the existing standard.
65-5-4 Moved by Councillors Gibbs and Down that the Field Officer for
the Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority be invited to attend the
next regular meeting of Council.
65-5-5 Moved by Councillors Budai and Down that the Clerk be instructed
to investigate the possibility of insurance coverage in cases of loss
or damage to neighbouring properties through fires occuring on Township
property.
65-5-6 Moved by Councillors Gibbs and Down that Road Accounts in the
amount of $6670.77, as approved by the Road Committee, be paid.
65-5-7 Moved by Councillors Budai and Gibbs that D.G.Kemp be authorized
to attend the annual convention of the Association of Assessing Officers
of Ontario at Ottawa, on May 17 - 19th, 1965, and that his expenses be
paid.
65-5-8 Moved by Councillors Budai and Down that W.E.Rundle be
authorized to attend the Annual Convention of the Municipal Clerks
and Finance Officers, June 20-24th, 1965, and that his expenses be paid.
At this time Deputy Reeve Muir relinquished the Chair to
Reeve Blanchard.
65-5-9 Moved by Councillors Down and Budai that Mr. Windatt be
informed that no plans for improvement to the road in the vicinity of
his property have been included in the 1965 estimates.
65-5-10 Moved by Councillor:. Budai and Deputy Reeve Muir that Rule 33
be suspended for the duration of this meeting.
65-5- On motion as filed, a By-law to further amend By-law 2111,
11-12 & 13 was given its several readings and signed, sealed and numbered 2296.
65-5- On motions as filed a By-law to separate certain lands from
14-15 & 16 the Township School Area of Darlington was given its several readings,
signed, sealed and numbered 2297.
65-5-17 Moved by Councillor Budai and Deputy Reeve Muir that the
resignation of W. Harold Watson from Darlington Planning Board be
accepted.
65-5-18 Moved J:y Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Budai that W. Harold
Watson is hereby appointed a Member of the Darlington Township
Committee of Adjustment.
65-5-19 Moved by Councillors Budai and Down that this meeting adjourn
to Friday, May 141 1965, at 7.30 P•«I.
