Darlington Township Council met in the Municipal Building
on this date, Reeve Blanchard presiding, Deputy Reeve Muir, Councillors
Gibbs and Down present.
65-7-1 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Gibbs that the
minutes of the meetings held June 17 qnd June 22 be adopted as read.
65-7-2 Moved by Councillors Down and Gibbs that this Council
endorse a Resolution of the Town of Whitby regarding costs of
education and the Town of Whitby be so informed.
65-7-3 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Down that the
resignation of L.D.Dunn be accepted with regret, and that the Clerk
write Mr. Dunn expressing Council' s regrets at his leaving and
appreciation of his past services.
65-6-4 Moved by Councillors Down and Gibbs that payment for wages
and salaries for the period during which an employee is on vacation,
ma-L be made in advance of such vacation period, and that the Reeve
and Treasurer are hereby authorized to issue cheques in payment
thereof on the last working day previous to a vacation period.
65-7-5 Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Gibbs that the
Clerk be authorized to retain the Township Solicitor to represent
Darlington Planning Board in an appeal from a decision '-of the Board
to the Ontario Municipal Board, if such an appeal should occur.
65-7-6 Moved by Councillors Gibbs and Down that the Clerk be
instructed to retain E.R.Lovekin to represent the Township in matters
in which the Township Solicitor declines to act because of possible
conflict of interest.
65)-7-7 Moved by Councillor Gibbs and Deputy Reeve Muir that
this meeting adjourn.
