Moved by Councillor Budai and Deputy Reeve Muir that the minutes of the meetings held July 15, 22 and 29, 1965, be adopted as read. ZD Moved by Deputy Reeve 1,,Iuir and Councillor Gibbs that the Road Accor nts for the month of July in the amount of 325,914.04, as approved by the Road Committee, be paid. Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Budai RESOLUTION 1. Whereas the Durham County District High School Board intends to construct a vocational addition to the Courtice High School, and to I furnish and eq-,�ip the same, and the original estimated normal costs to the said Board in all was estimated t6 be the sum of $X98 , 594.00. 2. AND WHEREAS the Durham County District High School Board applied to the Municipal Councils having jurisdiction in the said District for the issue of Debentures in the amount, estimated to be $365000-00 , to provide for the major portion of the cost of construction to the Board of the said voc4tional addition to the Courtice High School, the furnishing and equipping thereof, the interest thereon and the expenses connected therewith, and the majority of the Coliancils of the said municipalities have by resolution approved the said application. 3. AND -,'�E-,-ILEAS of the tenders received by the said Board, the one which the Board proposes to accept is in an amount that will render the estimated normal cost to the Board of $498 , .1'594.00 inadequate. 1+. AND WHEREAS THE Board has now applied to the MiLnicipal Councils having jurisdiction in the said District for the issue of debentures in the amount of $ 125,000-00, to provide for the said cost increased as aforesaid. 5. BE 1T BLESCILVED that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Darlington being a municipality included in the said District, hereby approves the said application and agrees to assume its proper proportion of the amounts required to Day the said debentures, the interest thereon and the expenses connected therewith, as prescribed by the Secondary Schools and Boards of Education Act. 6. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Darlington hereby requests the Council of the Corporation of the United Counties of Northumberland and Durham to raise the sum of 1$490,000.00 in total now required for the purposes aforesaid by the issue of debentures of the Corporation of the United Counties of Northumberland and Durham. 7. AND THE COUNCIL of the Corporation of the Township of Darlington hereby recognizes that the said Board will be required to raise out of current funds in accordance with Section 31+ of The Secondary Schools and Board of Education Act an amount equivalent to the difference between the amount to be raised by debentures as aforesaid and the said cost to the said Board of S33, 594-00- Passed this 5th day of August 1965. Strike, "Ir. Little and Mr. Rundle be instructed to arrange a public.-meeting on the evening of August 26, 1965, to inform the public of plans being made to re-zone lands for St. Mary' s Cement Co. 65-8-10 Moved by Councillors Gibbs and Down that this meeting adjourn.
