Date: Monday, March 20, 2000 Report #: PD-028-00 FILE #: A2000/oo5 TO A2000/007, INCLUSIVE By-law # Subject: MONITORING OF THE DECISIONS OF THE COMMITTEE OF ADJUSTMENT FOR THE MEETING OF MARCH 2, 2000 FILE NO'S.: A2000/00S TO A2000/oo7, INCLUSIVE Recommendations: It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee recommend to Council the following: 1. THAT Report PD-028-00 be received; 2. THAT Council concur with the decisions of the Committee of Adjnstment made on March 2, 2000 for applications A20oo/oo5 to A2000/oo7; and 3. THAT Staff be authorized to appear before the Ontario Municipal Board to defend the decisions of the Committee of Adjustment for applications A2oo0/005 to A2oo0/oo7, inclusive, in the event of an appeal. I. In accordance with Section 45 of the Planning Act R.S.O. 1990, all applications received by the Municipality for minor variance are scheduled to be heard within 30 days of being received by the Secretary Treasurer. The decisions of the Committee are detailed below. 2. The purpose of these minor variance applications and the Committee's decisions are detailed in Attachment No. I. 3. Applications A20oo/005, A20oo/oo6 and A2000/oo7 were all approved as applied for. 629 > REPORT NO.: PD-028-00 PAGE 2 4. Staff have reviewed the Committee's decisions and are satisfied that the applications which received approval are in conformity with the Official Plan policies, consistent with the intent of the Zoning By-law and those approved are minor in nature and desirable. 5. Council's concurrence with the Committee of Adjustment decisions is required in order to afford staff's official status before the Ontario Municipal Board in the event of an appeal of any decision of the Committee of Adjustment.
