Wight, Chief Building Inspector DATE : June 16, 1976 SUBJ4CT: Old Fire Hall - Village of Newcastle An inspection of the above noted building was made by Fire Chief J. Hayman and the writer. The building from a visual inspection appears to be sound structurally. There are no plumbing facilities in the build- ing. If it is to be used for municipal purposes whereby employees are to be in the building full time ) plumbing facilities should be provided or be accessible to the occupants. Chairman, Ann Cowman and Members of Community Services Commit-Lee RE: Appraisel of Old Newcastle Fire Hall, Mill St. Description: I storey cement block building, approx. 351X201 - 700 sq. ft. peak roof, asphalt shinglestin reasonable state of repairs, with the exception of the cement floor (broken up), situated on 1,623 sq. ft. of property leased from Bell Canada for the sum of $ 1.00 yearly. On the lease f'o.'r-iii (enclosed) it is expressly stipulated and agreed that the said premises may be used for the purpose of a fire hall. Contents: I - Preston Furnace Model 110-IIB 111,000 BTU of heat, duct work and furnace in reasonable state of repair, serviced regularly. I - Amalgated Electric Panel, 100 Amp. Service Model LL-186 - 100 - S34. I - Overhead Steel Door 12ft. X 10 ft. I - 200 gal. exterior oil supply tank and piping. Regarding its disposition, the lease expires on July 15, 1976. Salvage Value: 3 - wood frame windows. I - 3 ft. X 7 ft. wood door. Brick chimney and tile Rafters and roof boards.
