Report Overview
The following is a report on building permit activity in Clarington for the months of October,
November, and December and the total for year to date.
The construction value for October, November, and December 2015 was 32.2% higher than the
same period in 2014. The construction value for 2015 was 24.4% higher than 2014.
To the end of December 2015, we issued 933 new residential dwelling units, compared to 657 at
the same time in 2014.

7. Conclusion
The year 2015 proved to be a record year in a number of areas relating to building permits.
The construction value of building permits and the building permit fees were the highest
recorded. The number of building permits issued, as well as dwelling units issued, was the
highest in the past ten years.
