A2001/060 AND A2001/061 Subject: MONITORING OF THE DECISIONS OF THE COMMITTEE OF ADJUSTMENT FOR THE MEETING OF NOVEMBER 15, 2001 Recommendations: It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee recommend to Council the following: 1. THAT Report PSD-046-01 be received; and 2. THAT Council concur with decisions of the Committee of Adjustment made on November 15, 2001 for applications A2001/056, A2001/058, A2001/060 and A2001/061, and that Staff be authorized to appear before the Ontario Municipal Board to defend the decisions of the Committee of Adjustment. The purpose of the minor variance applications and the Committee's decisions are detailed in Attachment 1. The decisions of the Committee are detailed below. DECISIONS OF COMMITTEE OF ADJUSTMENT FOR NOVEMBER 15, 2001 Application Number Staff Recommendation Decision of Committee November 15, 2001 A2001/056 Table Tabled A2001/058 Deny Denied A2001/060 Approve Approved A2001/061 Approve Approved 2.0 The applicant amended application A2001/056 after Staff noted that the sketch submitted by the applicant did not identify all the accessory buildings and structures on the property. The amended application was re-circulated, a new sign erected and new public notice given for a Committee of Adjustment meeting held on November 15, 2001. After notice had been given the applicant requested tabling as he was unable to attend the November 15th meeting. Committee of Adjustment concurred with this request and tabled the application to the November 29, 2001 meeting. 3.0 Staff has reviewed the Committee's decisions and is satisfied that the applications that received approval are in conformity with the Official Plan policies, consistent with the intent of the Zoning By-law and are minor in nature and desirable. Council's concurrence with the Committee of Adjustment decisions is required in order to afford Staff's official status before the Ontario Municipal Board in the event of an appeal of any decision of the Committee of Adjustment.
