SUBJECT:
REPEAL OF BY-LAWS RESPECTING THE POSITION OF PLATOON CHIEF,
TOWN OF NEWCASTLE FIRE DEPARTMENT
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee
recommend to Council the following:
1 . That report ADMIN. 61 - 86 be received; and
2. That a by-law repealing by-law 83 - 164 appointing Mr. David Gregg Corden
as Platoon Chief, Town of Newcastle Fire Department, be recommended to
Council for passage.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
Mr. David Gregg Corden, Platoon Chief, Town of Newcastle Fire Department, submitted
his resignation on August 11th 1986, to take effect on August 22nd 1986.
Mr. Corden's resignation was accepted and his employment terminated on the date
specified. It is appropriate that the by-law appointing Mr. Corden to the position
of Platoon Chief be repealed and that action is recommended by staff.
