That Administrator's report ADMIN. 40 - 86 be received; 2. That the attached by-law naming four Lions nominees be tabled to Council; 3. That the matter of appointment of the three additional nominees to the Committee of Management be referred to the Striking Committee for recommendation toCouncil` 4. At such time that the Striking Committee reports to Council that the By-Law be lifted from the table and approved; 5. That when the By-Law is adopted establishing the Committee that the Lions Club be advised of Council 's actions; 6. That the Lions Club be advised immediately that they as owners of the Hall should arrange for the continuation of private insurance. BACKGROUND AND COMMENT: In an earlier report ADMIN. 22 - 86, the recommendation was made that the Lions Club be contacted towards the establishment of a Committee of Management in accordance with the agreement they entered into by the Town of Newcastle and the Lions Centre some years ago. ADMIN. 40 - 86 -2- The attached letter identifies the four Lions nominees to the Management Committee together with a suggestion with respect to Council representation. As the other nominees to the Committee are a matter which Council must decide, it is appropriate to refer the matter to the Striking Committee so that consideration may be given to the three remaining members to the Management Committee. At such time as the Striking Committee reports to Council , the By-Law may be lifted from the table and dealt with accordingly. A second matter raised in Mr. Bellefontaine's letter is the matter of insurance for the building. The Treasurer is examining the Town's coverage relative to the building, however, it is appropriate for the Club to provide for separate insurance as they are separate corporate entities. Respectfully submitted, David S. Johnston, M.C.I .P. , Chief Administrative Officer i
