ADVERTISING CONTRACT, PRESTON TRANSPORT
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration
Committee recommend to Council the following:
1 . That Administrator's report ADMIN. 20 - 86 be received;
2. That the Mayor and Clerk be authorized by by-law to
sign the attached agreement between the Town of Newcastle
and Preston Transport Limitea;
3. That Preston Transport Limited be advised of Council
actions.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle previously
approved the advertising on the side of one of Preston Transport
Limited's vans. It is appropriate to authorize the Mayor and Clerk
to execute on behalf of the Corporation the attached document which
provides for the payment of funds as previously authorized, and
secondly, states the term of the agreement. The attached agreement
also covers such matters as the maintenance of the insignia or signs.
The agreement deals with a number of issues relative to the
responsibilities of both the Town and Preston Transport Limited.

Officials with Preston Transport Limited have reviewed the agreement
and are prepared to sign the document. Preston Transport Limited will
advise Town officials of the unveiling date for the vara.
