Subject: McFEETERS CRESCENT EXTENSION, BOWMANVILLE
PART 8 OF PLAN 40R-13850 AND PART 3 OF PLAN 40R-14116
CERTIFICATE OF ACCEPTANCE, STORM SEWER SYSTEM
Recommendations:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration
Committee recommend to Council the following:
1 . THAT Report WD-1 -95 be received; and
2. THAT the Director of Public Works be authorized to issue a 'Certificate
of Acceptance' for the storm sewer system constructed within Plans 40R-
13850 and 40R-14116.

2.0 BACKGROUND
2.1 On June 17, 1992, the former Town of Newcastle entered into a development
servicing agreement with Veltri and Sons Corporation and Mario Veltri to
develop lands located in Bowmanville, and described as Plans 40R-13850 and
40R-14116 (Attachment No. 1 ) . The agreement required the developer to
construct all roadworks, including hot-mix paving, curb and gutter,
sidewalks, boulevard sodding and street trees, a storm drainage system and
street lights, hereinafter referred to as the 'Works' .

2.2 The servicing agreement provides for the separation of the Works into two
(2) stages:
a) Storm Sewer Work; and
b) Roads.
2.3 The Storm Sewer System was completed and a 'Certificate of Completion' was
issued dated October 15, 1992. The system was placed on a two (2) year

maintenance period, which expired on October 15, 1994. The works were
subsequently re-inspected and all deficiencies have now been corrected to
the satisfaction of the Director.
2.4 It is now appropriate to issue a 'Certificate of Acceptance' for the Storm
Sewer System. The servicing agreement provides for this certificate to
be issued by the Director of Public Works, subject to the approval of
Council.
