Subject: REQUEST FOR STREETLIGHT AT THE INTERSECTION OF
GLENABBEY DRIVE AND PRESTONVALE ROAD, COURTICE

Recommendations:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT Report WD-23-95 be received for information;

2 . 1 At a regular meeting held on January 30, 1995, Council passed
the following Resolution #GPA-53-95:
"THAT the Director of Public Works investigate
the feasibility of a street light at the
intersection of Glenabbey Drive and
Prestonvale Road and prepare a report for
submission to the General Purpose and
Administration Committee. "
3.0 REVIEW AND COMMENT
3. 1 The reconstruction of Prestonvale Road in 1994 included
provision for street lighting from Claret Drive southerly to

and including the intersection of Glenabbey Drive (see
Attachment No. 1) .
3.2 Resolution #GPA-53-95 was passed by Council on January 30,
1995. Since provision for these lights had been included in
the Prestonvale Road reconstruction project, the subject
lights were installed on January 30, 1995.
