Subject: RECONSTRUCTION OF THE HOPE/CLARINGTON BOUNDARY ROAD
Recommendations:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT Report WD-46-95 be received; and
2 . THAT payment of the invoice in the amount of $32,382 .47
submitted by the Township of Hope for the Municipality's share
of the cost of the reconstruction of the boundary road be
approved FORTHWITH.

2.0 BACKGROUND
2 . 1 Reconstruction of the Boundary Road (from 60 metres south of
Thertell Road northerly to Forest Centre) between Hope
Township and the Municipality of Clarington was approved in
the 1994 Capital Budget (Attachment No. 1) . The total cost of
reconstruction was estimated at $110,000, and in accordance
with the Boundary Road Agreement, Clarington's share was
estimated to be $55,000. Hope Township completed the
construction in 1994 .

3.0 REVIEW AND COMMENT
3. 1 Inadvertently, a purchase requisition was not issued by Public
Works. An invoice (0171) in the amount of $32,382.47 has been
submitted by Hope Township for total payment of the
Municipality's share of the cost.
4.0 RECOMMENDATION
4 . 1 The work is complete and it is, therefore, recommended that
payment of the invoice be approved.
