Subject: TRULLS DELBERT SUBDIVISION, PLANS 40M-1684 AND 40M-1685,
CERTIFICATE OF ACCEPTANCE, STORM SEWER SYSTEM
Recommendations:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT Report WD-50-95 be received;
2. THAT the Director of Public Works be authorized to issue a
'Certificate of Acceptance, for the storm sewer system
constructed within Plans 40M-1684 and 40M-1685.

2.0 BACKGROUND
2 . 1 On September 20, 1991, the former Town of Newcastle entered
into a subdivision agreement with 848601 Ontario Inc. and an
additional agreement with 848601 Ontario Inc. and 829633
Ontario Inc. The agreements provided for the development of
lands by plans of subdivision, located in Courtice, and
described as Plans 40M-1684 and 40M-1685 (Attachment No. 1) .
The agreements required the developer to construct all
roadworks, including hot-mix paving, curb and gutter,
sidewalks, boulevard sodding and street trees, a storm

drainage system, water quality works, and street lights,
hereinafter referred to as the 'Works' .
2.2 The Storm Sewer System for both plans was completed
simultaneously, and a 'Certificate of Completion' was issued
dated August 15, 1992. The system was placed on a two (2)
year maintenance period which expired on August 15, 1994 . The
works were subsequently re-inspected and all deficiencies have
now been corrected to the satisfaction of the Director of
Public Works.
2 .3 It is now appropriate to issue a 'Certificate of Acceptance'

for the Storm Sewer System for both plans. The subdivision
agreements provide for this certificate to be issued by the
Director of Public Works, subject to the approval of Council.
