As development conditions are met for the adjacent lands, the widenings and reserve blocks require dedication as 'public highways for public use' , by by-law. 2 .2 The preparation of the dedication by-laws is very time consuming and consequently, a number of road widenings and reserve blocks requiring dedication have now accumulated. Accordingly, these lands should now be dedicated by passing the detailed by-law attached. (Attachment No. 1) 2 . 3 To satisfy the requirements of the Municipal Act, a hearing on the proposed by-law is to be published for four (4) consecutive weeks in a local newspaper. 2 . 4 Following such hearing, it is appropriate for Council to pass the by-law dedicating the outstanding road widening and reserve blocks as public highways for public use.
