THAT Addendum to Report WD-88-91 be received; and 2 . THAT the Director of Public Works be authorized to issue a "Certificate of Acceptance" for the storm sewer system constructed within Plans 10M-818, 1OM-819 and 1OM-825. ---------------------------------------------------------------- REPORT 1.0 ATTACHMENTS No. 1: Report WD-88-91 dated November 18, 1991. 2.0 BACKGROUND 2 . 1 At a meeting of the General Purpose and Administration Committee held on November 18, 1991, the following Resolution #GPA-693-91 was passed: "THAT Report WD-88-91 be received and referred back to staff for clarification. " 3.0 REVIEW AND COMMENT 3. 1 Report WD-88-91 was referred back to staff for clarification with regard to whether or not the bridge on Edward Street was /2 REPORT NO. : ADDENDUM TO WD-81-91 PAGE 2 to be included with the works regarding the Certificate of Acceptance. 3 .2 The bridge is part of the Foster Creek Subdivision which is immediately east of the Newhaven Estates Subdivision. The acceptance of the works referred to in Report WD-88-91 are for the storm sewer system only which was constructed within Plans 1OM-818, 1OM-819 and 10M-825 . The matter of the acceptance of the bridge will be dealt with in a future report and it is anticipated that those works will not be accepted for approximately two (2) years . THAT Report WD-88-91 be received; and 2 . THAT the Director of Public Works be authorized to issue a 'Certificate of Acceptance.' for the storm sewer system constructed within Plans 1OM-818, 1OM-819 and 1OM-825. --------------------------------------------------------------------- REPORT 1.0 ATTACHMENTS No. l: Key Map 2.0 BACKGROUND 2 . 1 On November 9, 1988, the Town entered into a subdivision agreement with 317980 Ontario Limited to develop lands by plan of subdivision, located in Newcastle Village, and described as Plans 1OM-818, 1OM-819 and 1OM-825 (Attachment No. l) . The agreement required the developer to construct all roadworks, including hot- mix paving, curb and gutter, sidewalks, boulevard sodding and street trees, a storm drainage system and street lights, hereinafter referred to as the 'Works ' . REPORT NO. : WD-88-91 - PAGE 2 z 2 . 2 The provisions of the subdivision agreement allow the separation of the Works into two (2) stages as follows: i a) Storm Sewer System; and b) Roads and Above 'Ground Services . 2 . 3 The Storm Sewer System was completed and a 'Certificate of Completion' was issued dated August 1, 1989 . The system was placed on a two year maintenance period which expired on August 1, 1991. The system was subsequently re-inspected and found to be satisfactory. 2 . 4 It is now appropriate to issue a 'Certificate of Acceptance' for the Storm Sewer System. The subdivision agreement provides for this certificate to be issued by the Director of Public Works, subject to the approval of Council.
