C. Lunn of the Durham Regional Police, brought to our attention concerns about the stop sign placement at the intersection of Mosport Road and Concession Road 10 (Attachment No. 2) . 3.0 REVIEW AND COMMENT 3 . 1 A conflict of right-of-way exists at this intersection when an eastbound vehicle wishes to continue east through the intersection and a southbound vehicle wishes to continue south at this intersection. Since this is not a stop sign for either the southbound traffic or the eastbound traffic, a right angle collision could occur if neither vehicle stops . 3.2 In order to provide for safer traffic movement at the Mosport Road/Concession Road 10 intersection, it is recommended that the traffic control be changed to provide that Mosport Road be the through road. Respectfully submitted, Recommended for presentation to the Committee, i J ------------------------ ---qAi ----------------- Walter A. A potential hazard exists for traffic heading southbound and eastbound. It is currently a Two-way, stop for northbound and westbound traffic which makes no sense. There is bound to be accidents at this intersection once Mosport gets into full gear. I would suggest another Stop sign for eastbound traffic. P. C.
