2.0 BACKGROUND
2 . 1 On June 26, 1986, the Town entered into a subdivision agreement
with 542985 Ontario Limited to develop lands by plan of
subdivision, located in the former Darlington Township and
described as Plan 10M-780 (see Attachment No. l) . The agreement
required the developer to construct all roadworks including hot-
mix paving, granular shoulders, sodded ditches, street trees, a
storm drainage system and street lights, hereinafter referred to
as the 'Works ' .
2 .2 All of the Works were completed and a 'Certificate of Completion'
was issued dated November 1, 1989 . The Works were placed on a
one year maintenance period which expired on November 1, 1990 .
These Works were subsequently re-inspected and were found to be
satisfactory.
2 . 3 It is now appropriate to issue a 'Certificate of Acceptance' for
the Works . The subdivision agreement provides for this certificate
to be issued by the Director of Public Works, subject to the
approval of Council.
2 .4 Further to the issuance of a 'Certificate of Acceptance' , a by-
law is required to permit the Town to assume all the streets within
Plan 1OM-780 .
Respectfully submitted, Recommended for presentation
to the Committee,
I
