Subject: AMENDMENTS TO CONSOLIDATED TRAFFIC BY-LAW 91-58 RELATED
TO BEAVER STREET RECONSTRUCTION, NEWCASTLE VILLAGE
Recommendations:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT Report WD-2-92 be received; and
2 . THAT the by-laws attached to Report WD-2-92 be passed by Council.

2.0 BACKGROUND
2. 1 Provision was made in the 1991 Capital Budget for the
reconstruction of Robert Street East and Beaver Street South in
Newcastle Village. This construction will be completed in 1991.
3.0 REVIEW AND COMMENT
3. 1 School Bus Loading Zone
In response to suggestions made by the residents of the area at
three (3) Information Centres held for this project, it is proposed
that changes be made to the traffic flow and parking restrictions
as illustrated on Attachment No. 1. The by-laws contained in
Attachments Nos. 2 to 7 provide for these changes.

Being a By-law to amend By-law 91-58
being a By-law to Regulate Traffic on
Highways, Municipal and Private Property
in the Town of Newcastle.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle deems
it desirable to amend By-law 91-58;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle
enacts as follows:
1) Schedule XXVII "School Bus Loading Zones" of By-law 91-58 is
amended by:
(A) Adding the following reference:
Column 1 Column 2 Column 3 Column 4

2) This by-law shall come into force on the date it is approved by the
Council of the Regional Municipality of Durham and when signs to
the effect are erected.

Municipal and Private Property in the Town
of Newcastle.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle deems it
desirable to amend By-law 91-58;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle
enacts as follows:

(A) Deleting the following references:
