Subject: BURKETON HILLS ESTATES, (BOUNDARY ROAD) , PLAN 1OM-802,
'CERTIFICATE OF ACCEPTANCE' FOR ROADS, STORM DRAINAGE SYSTEM,
STREET LIGHTS AND OTHER RELATED WORKS
Recommendations:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT Report WD-21-92 be received;
2 . THAT the Director of Public Works be authorized to issue a
'Certificate of Acceptance' for the roads, storm drainage system,
street lights and other related Works, constructed within and
fronting Plan 1OM-802; and
3. That the Township of Scugog be provided with a copy of Report WD-
21-92 .

2.0 BACKGROUND
2 . 1 On July 28, 1983, the Town entered into a subdivision agreement
with United Counties Holdings Limited, Veltri and Son Limited and
Lesron Enterprises Limited to develop lands by plan of subdivision,
located in Burketon and described as Plan 1OM-802 (Attachment
No. 1) .

2 .2 The agreement required the developer to construct Boundary Road
including hot-mix paving, granular shoulders, sodded ditches, a
storm drainage system and street lights, hereinafter referred to
as the 'Works ' . The limits of the road construction were from Old
Scugog Road easterly to Regional Road 57 .
2 . 3 All of the Works were completed and a 'Certificate of Completion'
was issued dated December 1, 1989 . The Works were placed on a two
year maintenance period which expired on December 1, 1991. These
Works were subsequently re-inspected and were found to be
satisfactory.
2 .4 It is now appropriate to issue a 'Certificate of Acceptance' for
the Works . The subdivision agreement provides for this certificate
to be issued by the Director of Public Works, subject to the
approval of Council.
