Subject: ROAD WIDENING 'DEDICATION AND ASSUMPTION BY-LAW' ,
PARKWOOD VILLAGE CONDOMINIUMS, (NASH ROAD IN COURTICE)
PART 4 OF PLAN IOR-2838
Recommendations:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT Report WD-34-92 be received;
2 . THAT Council approve the by-law attached to Report WD-34-92
FORTHWITH dedicating and assuming for public use, the road
widening described as Part 4 on Plan 1OR-2838.

2.0 BACKGROUND
2 . 1 On April 9, 1987, the Town entered into a site plan agreement
with Halcorp Holdings Limited to develop a condominium site,
located in Courtice, and known as Parkwood Village
Condominiums .
2 .2 As part of the site plan agreement, the developer was required
to transfer a road widening to the Town of Newcastle
(Attachment No. 1) . The parcel of land was transferred to the
Town, but has not been formally dedicated as a public highway.

2 . 3 In order to complete an imminent legal transaction, George
Smith, Barrister & Solicitor, has requested the appropriate
By-law . (Attachment No. 2) be passed and registered prior to
April 30, 1992 . Accordingly, it is recommended that the By-
law be passed FORTHWITH.

THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW NO. 92-
Being a by-law to establish, lay out and
assume certain street widenings within the
Town of Newcastle as public highways.
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of
Newcastle enacts as follows:
1. THAT the lands described as Part of Lot 30, Concession 2,
Geographic Township of Darlington, in the Town of Newcastle,
Regional Municipality of Durham designated as Part 4 on Plan
1OR-2838, are hereby established and laid out as a public
highway and are hereby accepted by The Corporation of the Town
of Newcastle as public highway and assumed by the said
Corporation for public use.
BY-LAW read a first and second time this 13th day of April, 1992.
BY-LAW read a third time and finally passed this 13th day of
April, 1992.
