Chief Administrative Officer PLB*hk , , REPORT NO.: CLD-026-01 PAGE 3 1.0 BACKGROUND On December 18, 2000, Council adopted the recommendations contained within Report CD-59-00 addressing the General Purpose and Administration Committee structure. This included the appointment of the members of Council as Chair and Vice-Chair of the various departments. A copy of that report is attached hereto as Attachment No.1. In adopting the recommendations, the committee structure was implemented for a one-year trial period. Accordingly, it is now appropriate to revisit the issue and it is staff's recommendation that the committee structure be amended as follows: 1. RollCall 2. Disclosure of Pecuniary Interest 3. Adjournment In dealing with each deportment's section of the agenda, the departmental liaison council member choirs that portion of the meeting. Stoff hove been reviewing the organizational structure over the lost few months and 0 report recommending 0 new structure is included on the agenda for today's meeting. It should be noted that this committee structure will be implemented immediately, however the organizational structure will not be. In the meantime, the Chair of the Operations Department will be dealing with the existing Director of Public Works and the Chair of the Corporate Services Department will deal with the Treasurer and the Clerk.
