BACKGROUND AND COMMENT
The above noted Surplus Disposal tender closed on November 21, 2001 with potential bids
being received for each property. The advertisement for this tender was placed within the local
paper, Globe and Mail as well as the Internet, and noted that the decision of Council to sell the
surplus properties in question would be considered on December 10, 2001.
Due to the limited time frame, the above noted report will be postponed until the General
Purpose and Administration Committee meeting on January 21, 2002.
In order to keep the potential purchasers apprised of the revised time frame, a subsequent
advertisement will be placed in the appropriate papers.
